What does Proba Projects actually do?
Proba Projects originates, finances and develops on-the-ground interventions that turn ag supply chain decarbonization demand into delivered supply. We bring together the required partners, funding and offtake to develop projects from concept to delivery.
Is this carbon credits?
No. We deal in real assets with real economics and delivered low-carbon commodities, not paper credits. Reductions happen on the ground, at the feedstock level, and are traceable.
Who do you work with?
We work with farmers, cooperatives, feedstock suppliers, technology providers, investors and commodity buyers to turn sustainability solutions into investable, real-world projects.
If I bring you a project, do i lose ownership of it?
No. If you are a cooperative, you keep the asset, the project, and your offtake. We act as your financier and delopment partner, not the owner of what you build.
How is Proba Projects related to Proba?
Proba is a shareholder of Proba Projects, alongside Pinea Partners and Value Factory Ventures. Proba Projects relies on Proba to identify emission reduction technologies and crop - region systems with the highest potential for supply chain decarbonization. Furthermore, buyers and investors like the impact they are funding to be robust and verified. In cases where this is beneficial to the project, Proba can be subcontracted to provide sustainability implementation and certification services. This is non-exclusive and always at prevailing market rates.
As a buyer, does working with you change how I purchase?
No. You keep buying the way you already do, and your offtake and commercial relationships stay where they are. We hold the risk and handle delivery of the decarbonization project.. The only difference is the carbon intensity of what you receive.
Is Proba Projects a fund?
No, Proba Projects is not a GP at the moment. We are organized as a development holding company. Projects are incubated using our own money and then brought into SPV structures. These SPVs individually raise debt and equity funding.
